A thermostatic shower valve, the thermostatic cartridge prevents accidental scalding thanks to it's 3 main features: it stops pressure fluctuation and your water going hot to cold if someone uses the water supply around your house; it has a safety stop so you can set the highest possible temperature and know it won't go above; and it has an automatic safety stop so your water will not continue to flow if the hot or cold water supply fails.
